Ogiński, Chopin, Szymanowski and Paderewski! What a treat!
Tadashi Imai is going to perform and present the works of the most famous Polish composers such as Chopin, Paderewski, Szymanowski and Ogiński at the concert celebrating 100th anniversary of regaining Poland’s independence. The event is taking place at Polish Social and Cultural Association in London and it is organized in aid of Piłsudski Institute of London.
The program of the recital will be as follows:
Ogiński: Polonaise “Pożegnanie Ojczyzny” (Farewell to Homeland)
Chopin: Grande Valse Brillante E-flat major Op.18
Chopin: 3 Mazurkas Op.59
Chopin: Ballade No.4 in F minor Op.52
Chopin: Nocturne in D-flat major Op.27 No.2
Chopin: “Heroic” Polonaise in A-flat major Op.53
Szymanowski: Two Mazurkas from Op.50
Paderewski: No.1 Menuet in G major and No.6 Cracovienne Fantastique from 6 Humoresques de Concert Op.14
Tasdashi Imai won several international competitions in Japan and the US, and he made his New York debut in Carnegie Hall in 2000, as a Grand Prize winner of the Grand Prix International Chopin Competition. Since then he performed at the major concert venues across the globe, such as Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Suntory Hall in Tokyo and others.
