Korinda Concert in London
Join us on a night of vibrant folk music with one of the youngest dance house bands of Hungary.
The Korinda band is one of the youngest Hungarian dance house bands with over ten years of folk music experience.
Many of the musicians have acquired their knowledge from the “Mentés Másként Trió”, an outstanding band of Szeged’s vibrant folk music scene as well as from Moldavian master András Hodorog. Not only have they picked up a lot from original recordings that they enjoy playing because of the music’s simplicity, but they have also created their own unique interpretations.
They mostly focus on Moldavian Csango as well as folk music from other related areas such as Gyimes, Barcaság, Székely, and eastern Romania. They frequently travel to Moldavia and Transylvania as they consider it important to maintain personal relationships with their masters.
After Hungary, Subcarpathia, the United States and Moscow, the show “Csángók és a keleti székelység népzenéje”, which is about to be released as an album, is arriving in the UK, where visitors will have the chance to witness even some of their most rarely played songs.
The event is free but registration is required on firstname.lastname@example.org.
