Internationally acclaimed Czech designer returns to the FashionScout this September to present his Spring/Summer 2019 collection on Saturday September 15th at the striking Freemasons’ Hall. Be prepared for layers of lace, glitter, inventive cuts and last but not least, sustainable and ethical fashion, as Jiří is an animal rights activist.
Jiří Kalfař originally trained to be a ballet dancer, then tasted a career of a model but eventually found his passion in fashion. His boundary pushing menswear features fluid approach to gender identity and womenswear focuses on free flowing silhouettes and vibrant palette. Jiři’s collections were featured in magazines such as Vogue, Forbes, Grazia, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2016, Fucking Young!, Schön, Wonderland, Harper‘s Bazaar, The Financial Times and InStyle. He was awarded the best menswear designer for two seasons in a row at the Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Week.
His collections are also presented at official London Fashion Week and FashionScout London. Jiří’s collection are worn by such names as Camila Cabello, Paulina Porizkova, Karolina Kurkova, Alina Baikova, Andreja Pejic, Luisa Johnson, Tereza Maxova, Eliza and others. He is 2018 Forbes 30 under 30.
