Each summer the RA galleries are jam-packed with contemporary art made by internationally renowned artists and exciting new talent. This year, Grayson Perry RA and his committee of fellow artists have handpicked over 1,300 artworks in an array of mediums.

There’s a monumental sculpture by Anish Kapoor RA in our courtyard, and within the galleries you’ll find vast new works by David Hockney RA and Joana Vasconcelos. Artists Mona Hatoum and Tal R are shown alongside Royal Academicians including Wolfgang Tillmans, Mike Nelson, Tracey Emin and Rose Wylie, and Honorary Academicians Bruce Nauman and Ed Ruscha.

Ewa Gargulinska’s work selected for the Summer exhibition is not only a reflection on the present issue of migration, but also brings to mind a timeless vulnerability we may all experience; of loosing ground, safety of ‘home’, of our country or ourselves.
Ewa Gargulinska MA is a Polish artist, a graduate of the Warsaw  Academy of Fine Art and a lecturer at both; Central Saint Martins College of Art in London and the School of Visual Arts in New York. Ewa’s art is represented internationally in the following collections: the National Museum in Krakow,  Zacheta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw and in the archives of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington,  the British Library, the Copernicus University, Torun, and Madame Tussaud’s London. Her work is collected  worldwide, most notably by Dr. Arthur Sackler (founder of the new wing at the Royal Academy, London),  Jeremy Irons,  Sir Michael Scott and Sir Vernon Ellis, Chair of the British Council.
