DASH EVENT – Late at the Library: The Storming of the Library

June 23 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm

| £20

Event Navigation

‘Play your part in recreating the drama, part theatre spectacle, part mass participation, part film-set, this thrilling event is inspired by the extraordinary agit-prop Revolutionary Festivals staged in Petrograd in 1918-20. With designs by avant-garde artists and huge casts, the original re-stagings attempted to celebrate and even out do the original events, and were a great inspiration to film makers such as Eisenstein. Join us for an evening of performance, music, film and spectacle accompanied by the turbo-punk energy of our musical comrades The Destroyers and DJ Penny Metal.

On this night of mass action, develop your revolutionary or capitalist character skills with some of our studio’s finest actors, join our prop and banner making ateliers, experience physical actions from our award-winning choreographer, craft revolutionary words with the greatest script-writers and poets of our time and then play a part in our epic re-enactments all under the expert guidance of our renowned director.’ (Dash Arts)
