Classical Music Night with Dávid Szilasi
Join us on a Night of Classical Music presented by Virtuózok-finalist Dávid Szilasi.
Dávid Szilasi was born into a musical family in 1997. He started playing the piano at the age of five, taking his first lessons from his father.
David went on to study at the Jardanyi Pal Music School in Budapest. In 2013 he won the XIII National Piano Competition of Hungary. A year after, in 2014, he was a finalist in Virtuózok, Hungary’s first classical talent show for young musicians.
For the past three years, he has been invited to play at the Budapest Spring Festival, the largest cultural event and arts festival of Hungary, sponsored by the city’s government.
He commenced his studies at the Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary in 2016 as a student of Jenő Jandó and András Kemenes. He is frequently at the top of his class.
His repertoire includes Scriabin, Chopin, Brahms, Haydn, Bartók, Liszt and Kodály.
